1. Accused Tarachand B. Chawla. age 85 years. R/o worli mumbai. is held guilty vide section 255(2) of the CRPC and section 278 (2) of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 for the offence punishable under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and he is sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for 01 (One) year and to pay fine of Rs.20,00,000/- in default of fine shall suffer further simple imprisonment for 06 (six) month.
2. If fine is paid the same be given to the complainant as compensation u/s 357(1)(b) of code of criminal procedure and u/s 395(1)(b)of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
