The Difference

Public association and verified association are not the same.

Public Case Association

Based on public case records.

TrustJury may associate a lawyer or law firm with a case based on advocate information appearing in public court records. This does not automatically mean that the professional has personally confirmed the association.

Verified Case Association

Separately reviewed and confirmed.

A Verified Case Association indicates that TrustJury has completed the applicable association-verification process for that specific lawyer-profile and case relationship.

How It Works

The workflow starts with a claimed profile. Verification can then be requested for one case or multiple associations.

The lawyer or authorized law-firm representative first establishes ownership of the correct TrustJury profile.

See the cases currently connected with the profile from public court-record information.

Select cases to verify

Choose one or multiple case associations and submit them for the applicable verification process.

TrustJury reviews the association

TrustJury evaluates the relevant case-association information and supporting evidence where required.

Verified status is recorded

If approved, that specific case association can be shown as verified on the TrustJury profile.

Case Status Matters

Concluded and pending cases can be treated differently.

A historical association may only need one verification, while a pending case may require periodic re-checking because the case remains active.

One-time association verification

For a concluded or non-pending case, the lawyer-to-case association can generally be treated as a one-time verification because the underlying professional association is historical.

Pending Case

Ongoing verification may apply

For pending cases, TrustJury may use recurring verification because the case remains active and professional representation can change over time.

What TrustJury May Review

Evidence around the lawyer-to-case relationship.

  • Advocate information appearing in the public case record.
  • The claimed TrustJury professional profile.
  • Case identifiers such as CNR and Court information.
  • Supporting professional information supplied by the claimant where reasonably required.
  • Other reliable information relevant to confirming the association.

The exact evidence required can vary by case. TrustJury should collect only information reasonably necessary for the association-verification process.

Important Boundary

Verification confirms association — not case performance.

  • It does not mean the lawyer won the case.
  • It does not mean the lawyer was counsel for every stage of the matter.
  • It does not establish specialization or competence by itself.
  • It is not endorsement by the Court or any government authority.
  • It does not change the underlying public court record.
  • It does not purchase a higher position in objective TrustJury search results.
