O R D E R
Present petition has been filed under section 56 of the Juvenile
Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (“J. J. Act”) read
with regulation 52(4) and 55(2) of the Adoption Regulations 2017
seeking adoption order in the matter of adoption of the minor female
child namely Liora, Date of Birth (DOB) - 15.04.2020.
2. Heard petitioner, co-petitioners and advocate for petitioner/co-
petitioners. Perused the record.
3. It seems that the petitioner is unmarried girl and biological
mother of the child. Child Liora born on 15.04.2020. Her birth
certificate is filed on the record.
4. Co-petitioner no.1 and 2 are husband and wife. Their marriage
took place on 08.12.2007. Their Marriage Registeration Certificate is
filed on record. They have no issues from the marriage. Hence they
desirous to adopt child of the petitioner. As the petitioner is unmarried
and given birth to the child, Liora, she is desiring to give her child in
adoption to co-petitioners. Child Liora is residing with co-petitioners.
Co-petitioners adopted the child and executed notarized Deed of
Adoption on 31.07.2020. Said Adoption Deed is filed on the record. It
bears signature of the petitioner, co-petitioner and the witnesses.
Identity, residential address and income proof of co-petitioners are filed
on record as well as address proof of the petitioner is filed on record.

5. It seems that co-petitioners are medically, physically and
financially sound. They are mentally alert and highly motivated to
adopt the child.
6. Consent given by the petitioner and co-petitioners are out of free
will. Due consideration is given to the wishes of the child having regard
to the age and understanding of the child. It does not appear that giver
and takers received any payment or reward in consideration relating to
the proposed adoption. Giver and takers have no interest, directly or
indirectly, adverse to that of the child to be adopted. Thus the
conditions laid down in section 61(1) of the J. J. Act are substantially
complied with in this adoption case. Under the circumstances, adoption
of the minor female child, Liora, Date of Birth - 15.04.2020 being for
her welfare can be granted to co-petitioners and this is a good home for
her. In the result, following order -
O R D E R
1) Adoption Petition No. 107 of 2021 is allowed.
2) Co-petitioners, Mr. Listin Slynn and Mrs. Boney Listin Slynn are
permitted to adopt the minor female child “Liora” having Date of Birth
15.04.2020 and they are declared as parents of the said child for all
purposes allowed by the law.
3) Concerned Birth Certificate Issuing Authority is directed to issue
Birth Certificate in the name of the minor female child, “Liora” bearing
her Date of Birth as 15.04.2020 by deleting name of Miss. Meri Surin
(petitioner) as mother and substituting name of co-petitioners Mr. Listin
Slynn and Mrs. Boney Listin Slynn as parents of the said child within 5
(Five) working days from the date of application as provided in
regulation 36 of the Adoption Regulations.

4) Adoption Petition No.107 of 2021 is disposed of.
