Matter taken up today as 03.03.2026 was declared
holiday vide notification No.64/G-4/Genl.-I/DHC dated
27.02.2026 of Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
Present: Ms Shweta S Kumar, ld counsel for the
plaintiff.
Sh Bhishm Singh, ld counsel for the defendant,
through VC with Sh Rajan Narang, AR in
person.

Replication has been filed on behalf of
plaintiff.
An office order dated 16.10.2024 has been
filed on behalf of DDA as per which, the electricity discoms
were permitted to issue fresh electricity connections suo
moto within the notified PM Uday Colonies.
It is stated by ld counsel for plaintiff that the
suit property falls within notified PM Uday Colony. On
behalf of TPDDL, it is stated that the initial application of
the plaintiff did not mention any block number of the suit
property and as such, there was some confusion regarding
the locality being in PM Uday colony or not. It is further
stated that the plaintiff has now clarified that the suit

property falls within A Block of Village Kadipur, Swaroop
Vihar, Delhi which is a PM Uday Colony.
It is stated that subject to completion of
formalities by the plaintiff, electricity connection may be
installed after electrification and which would require
around four months.
Be put up for further report on behalf of
TPDDL/further proceedings on 03.08.2026.
In view of the report filed by DDA, the counsel
for DDA stands discharged from the present case.
