Deposition of Witness No. 02 for Prosecution.
I on solemn affirmation depose as under :
My Name : Deshraj S/o Shri Siddhuram
Age : 57 years Occupation : Beauro of Immigration,
Amritsar
R/o. : 46/B, Seva Nagar, Putalighar, Amritsar 143 001.
Exam.-in-chief by APP Mr. K. S. Jamdhade for the State:-
1. On 18.12.2018 I was working as Wing In-charge day duty
departures at Mumbai Airport from 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. At about
08:30 a.m. four Indian passengers namely Manishkumar Joshi and his
family were flying to Canada via London by flight No. 116 of Jet
Airways. Manishkumar Joshi approached Counter No. 8 for clearing
immigration, which was manned by Mr. S. A. Walunj. Upon scrutiny of
his passport Mr. Walunj found that the Canadian visa on the passport
was fake. Mr. Walunj then forwarded all four passengers to me. I also
checked the passports and found that visa was fake. I forwarded an e-
mail to High Commission of Canada, New Delhi along with the visas of
the passengers within 3 hours I received a reply mail from High
Commission of Canada stating that all four visas are counterfeit. I
instructed Mr. S. A. Walunj for reporting the matter to the police. Police
recorded my statement. I cannot identify the accused due to lapse of
time.

Cross-examination by Learned Counsel Mr. Sanjay Tiwari for

2. It is not true to say that the Canadian visas on the

passports of the accused were genuine. It is not true to say that I
got a false F.I.R. registered against the accused on the basis of
suspicion. It is not true to say that without any evidence I
concluded that the visas were counterfeit. It is not true to say that
today I am deposing false.
