Deposition of Witness No. 01 for Prosecution.
I on solemn affirmation depose as under :
My Name : Rajesh Sambhaji Valunj
Age : 47 years Occupation : Halwaldar CISF, currently
posted at CNP Nashik.
R/o. : D-4, Nandan Park, Gandharv Nagari, Nashik Jail Road,
Nashik.
Exam.-in-chief by APP Mr. K. S. Jamdhade for the State:-
1. On 18.12.2018 I was working as an Immigration Officer at
CSMI Airport, Mumbai from 08:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. I was deputed at
Immigration Counter No.8, Departure. At about 08:30 a.m. two
passengers with two kids came to the departure counter and I examined
their passports and Canadian visa. The passengers were travelling to
from Mumbai Toronto via London. They were travelling by flight No.
9W-116 of Jet Airways, from Mumbai to London which was scheduled
at 09:30 a.m. and by flight No. AC-859 from London to Toronto. Upon
verifying the passports and visa under UV light, I found some
discrepancies therein. I found following discrepancies:-
a) Font size of visa was different from the original.
b) different security features.
c) Different Hologram
d) Broken micro printing.
e) Intaglio printing was different
2. I took those passengers and their passengers to the Wing-
In-charge and I returned to the counter as per directions of Wing-In-
charge Mr. Deshraj. Mr. Deshraj forwarded the visa for verification to

Delhi Embassy via e-mail. Mr. Deshraj received the verification report
which stated that the visa was fake. Thereafter I handed over the
accused along with their passports, visa, boarding card, flight tickets
diary report, statement of accused recorded by Mr. Deshraj, to Sahar
Police Station. I am now shown three original passports. I say that
these are the same passports which I forwarded to the police, while
lodging report. The passports are marked as Exh-11 to Exh-13. Now I
am shown eight boarding passes. They are the same which I forwarded
to the police, while lodging report. They are marked as Exh-14 to Exh-
21. The F.I.R. & printed F.I.R. are now shown to me. They bear my
signature. Their contents are true and correct. They are marked as
Exh-22 and Exh-23. I can identify the accused. The are not present
before Court today.

3. It is true to say that I did not compare the visa of the
accused with any other documents to arrive at the conclusion of
the discrepancies found therein. It is not true to say that I came to
the conclusion regarding discrepancies only on the basis of my
experience. It is true to say that I did not file any documentary
evidence regarding the discrepancies found therein. It is not true
to say that there was no discrepancies in the passports or visa of
the accused. It is not true to say that the visa was not forwarded
to any Canadian Embassy for verification. It is not true to say that
Canadian Embassy did not forward any verification report to us. It
is not true to say that I have lodged false report on the basis of

suspicion. It is not true to say that the passports and the visa of
the passengers are genuine. It is not true to say that today I am
deposing false.
