Examination-in-chief by the Ld. APP for State
On 26/11/2017 I was the SHO of Jogeshwari P.S. during
night. On receipt of information about an accident case, I visited
Trauma Care Hospital at about 10.00 p.m. to record statement of
Shambhau Ratanlal Sharma who was admitted as indoor patient. I
recorded his statement as per his say. Now it is shown to me. It is at
Exh.4. I returned to police station and registered FIR No. 181/2017 for
offences p/u/s. 279, 338 of IPC.
2. I myself investigated the crime. I visited spot on the next
day at 09.00 a.m. and drew spot panchnama after 9.40 a.m. as per the
prevailing situation. It was at Subhashnagar, below the Jogeshwari East-
West Highway Bridge. Now panchnama shown to me. It bears my
signature as well as signatures of panch witnesses. Contents are true
and correct. Panchnama is marked at Exh.7. It is admitted by defence. I
recorded statement of two witnesses as per their say. I have collected

injury certificate. Injury report is admitted by the defence, hence
marked at Exh.8. I formally arrested the accused. I concluded the
investigation by filing charge-sheet before the Court. Accused are
present in the Court.

3. I deny that I did not visit the spot and did not prepared
spot panchanama as per prevailing situation. I deny that I did not
record statement of eye witnesses. I deny that the accused was not the
real culprit. I deny that I have registered the FIR on the basis of false
statement. I deny that I have falsely deposed before the Court.
