Examination-in-chief by the Ld. APP for State
On 02/11/2017 I was attached to Juhu P.S. as Detection
Officer. FIR No.681/2017 was registered on that day on the report of
Madhavi Lakhotiya. Being detection officer I have found a suspect on
the same day at 8.30 p.m. in the vicinity of Pravin Gandhi College. I
took his personal search in presence of panch witnesses after his inquiry
about his name and whereabouts. Said person is the accused present
before the Court and he named himself as Akshay More R/o. Andheri
(E). In his personal search an identity card belonging to Madhavi
Lakhotiya was found in his possession. It was seized and panchnama
was prepared with the signature of panch witnesses. Now panchnama
shown to me. It bears signature of panch witnesses and it is
countersigned by me. Contents are true and correct. Panchnama is
marked at Exh.6.
2. The accused was taken to police station and formally
arrested. Now arrest panchnama shown to me. It bears signature of
panch witnesses and it is countersigned by me. Contents are true and
correct. Arrest panchnama is marked at Exh.7. The FIR in this case was
registered by API Nitin Kame. I have worked with him and therefore, I
know his signature. The FIR is shown to me. It is countersigned by API
Kame. It is marked at Exh.8.

3. I deny that I did not found accused in the vicinity of Pravin

Gandhi College and I did not took his personal search as claimed. I
deny that I have falsely stated that informant’s I-card was found in his
possession and was seized under panchnama. I deny that nothing was
seized from the accused and therefore, seizure panchnama does not
bear his signature. I deny that the accused has been falsely arrested and
false charge-sheet has been filed against him.
