respondents (appointed by DSLA)
20. My marriage was arranged marriage. I deny that marriage
expenses were borne by respondents. I deny that the respondent No.1
was required to go to abroad and therefore, it was agreed that as my
father was not having means to perform marriage at that time, the
respondents made marriage expenses and my father issued cheque as
his contribution in the marriage expenses. I deny that the jewellery
worn by me shown in the photographs of the marriage was gifted to me
by the respondents. The marriage photographs are thus marked with
Exh.72. The invoices for purchase of jewellery are with my mother-in-
law. It were purchased long ago during my childhood and therefore I do
not know from whom it was purchased and when.
21. I lived with my husband for one month and with my in-
laws for 7 months. I do not have documentary evidence to show that
respondent No.1 was assaulting me. I deny that I voluntarily left
matrimonial home for Ramzan Eid and did not return back. I deny that
respondent has never demanded dowry and I have made false
statement in that regard and therefore, I have not mentioned the details
of dates of alleged demands in my petition and evidence affidavit. I did
not made any complaint about the merciless beating done to me by
respondents as the respondents did not allow me to go to police station.

I deny that I have made false allegations against my brother-in-law. The
sisters of respondent No.1 were living in the Shared Household during
day time. I deny that they were not living in the Shared Household.
22. I deny that police did not register my FIR on 09/11/2017
as they did not find any substance in the complaint. I deny that I have
mentioned false and contradictory statement about the income of
respondent No.1. In respect of delay in registration of FIR, I state that as
my previous Advocate was not diligent, the FIR was not registered in
2017. I deny that the articles of stridhan mentioned in my petition or
the documents annexed with my petition were taken along with me
when I voluntarily left the respondent’s home. I have made an attempt
to talk with respondent No.1. I do not have documentary evidence to
show that respondent No.1 was having extra marital affair. I deny that
on 14/04/2025 respondent No.1 noticed me in a saloon and he paused
to look at me and at that time I noticed him and suddenly called my
relatives to beat him. I deny that a false MLC has been tendered by me.
I deny that I have filed false case against respondent as I am not willing
to cohabit with him. I deny that I was never subjected to domestic abuse
and I have raised false allegations in the petition.
23. I am educated upto 5th Std. My Advocate has drafted the
complaint which was given to the police station. I deny that I have
harassed my parents-in-laws and made false allegations against them. I
deny that I have made false statement about the income of respondent.
