Today, both accused are appeared before me and made
application for pleading guilty at Exh-3. They submitted that they wants
to plead guilt. They are identified by their advocate. Particulars of
offence is framed against them, to which they voluntarily pleaded guilty.
Heard accused in person. They submitted that lenient view may be taken
as they are only earning member in their respective family. Considering
the nature of offence, circumstances under which it is committed,
antecedents of the accused & their age, I proceed to pass following order :
O R D E R
1. Accused are hereby convicted for the offence under 84 of
Maharashtra Prohibition Act and sentenced to pay fine of Rs. 3,500/-
( Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred only) each, and in default
of payment of fine, to suffer simple imprisonment for 20 (Twenty)
days each.
2. Seized liquor be forwarded to Excise Department and remaining
muddemal be destroyed.
