Today, accused is appeared before me before lok-adalat and
made application for pleading guilty. He submitted that she wants to
plead guilt. She is identified by her advocate. Particulars of offence is
framed against her, to which she voluntarily pleaded guilty. Heard
accused in person. She submitted that lenient view may be taken as she
is only earning member in her family. Considering the nature of offence,
circumstances under which it is committed, antecedents of the accused &
her age, I proceed to pass following order :
O R D E R
1. Accused is hereby convicted for the offence under 65(E) of
Maharashtra Prohibition Act and sentenced to pay fine of
Rs. 1,000/- ( Rupees One Thousand only), and in default of
payment of fine, to suffer simple imprisonment for 1 (one) day.
2. Seized liquor be forwarded to Excise Department and remaining
muddemal be destroyed.
