ORDER BELOW APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF BIRTH
1] This is an application filed by applicant Bajarang Hanumanta
Metre with contention that he was born on 02/06/1965 at Dharavi, Mumbai
i.e. home delivery. His father name is Mr. Hanumanta Nakkal Taypa Metre and
mother name is Mrs. Balma Hanumanta Metre. Due to ignorance of law his
parents could not get registered the birth of the applicant with respondent.
2] The respondent i.e. Medical Officer of Health, G/North Ward,
Dadar W, Mumbai has filed report and submitted that the birth of Bajarang
Hanumanta Metre born on 02/06/1965 is not reported with their office. The
said officer further submitted that to scrutinize the case and necessary order be
passed.
3] Alongwith this application, the applicant has filed on record his
affidavit stating every facts as per his application and enclosed copies of Ration
Card, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card etc. Also, the applicant has filed on record
affidavits of witnesses namely Smt. Gangamma w/o. Hanumanta and Mr.
Yesumitra Laxman – neighbours of the applicant wherein on oath stated that
the applicant was born on 02/06/1965 at home. Copies of Aadhaar Card of

witnesses are filed on record as proving of their identify and address.
4] On perusing the application and documents annexed thereto and
report of BMC, this Court does not find any hesitation to accept that
02/06/1965 is true and correct date of birth of the applicant. Hence, proceed
to pass following order.
ORDER
1 The application is allowed.
2 The concern authority 'The Registrar, Birth and Death, G/North
Ward, Dadar (W), Mumbai – 400 028' is directed to take entry of the date of
birth i.e. 02/06/1965 (Second June Nineteen Sixty Five) of applicant 'Bajarang
Hanumanta Metre', in their register on accepting the fees as per the rules.
