I solemnly affirm on oath that -
My name is Piyu Ambhuj Agnihotri
Age : 42 years,
Occupation : Branch Manager, IDBI Bank, Mulund (E) branch, Mumbai.
R/o. Belapur, Sector 15, Navi Mumbai.
Examination-in-Chief of CW-04 by adv. Anay Jain for the complainant :
1. Today I am present to depose on behalf of the bank. I have received
the witness summons. Manju Singh accused has bank account maintained
with our branch but bank has closed it for various pending charges. Last
balance amount in her account was Rs.266/- only. Her bank account was
closed by bank for the reason for Account being Inactive. I have brought
with me specimen signature of Manju Singh. I can identify her signatures
if cheques are shown to me. Now I am shown cheques Exh.26 to 28. All
three cheques bears signature of Manju Singh. Signatures on the cheques
Exh.42 to 46 now shown to me are also signatures of Manju Singh. The
signatures now shown to me may not match with the specimen signatures
of Manju C. Singh maintained with bank record but all the signatures are
identical to her signatures.
Cross examination by Adv. Samrudha Sharma for the accused:
2. I joined IDBI Bank, Mulund Branch in year 2025. It is true to say
that I have not personally opened the bank account of the accused. It is
not true to say that I have not produced any document to show that fire
taken place and the bank account opening form of accused was burnt. It is
true to say that I can not firmly opine that the signatures on the cheques
shown to me were the signatures of accused. It is true to say that I am
not expert to say that the signature is of accused but I am banker. It is not

true to say that I have not personally obtained the specimen signatures of
Manju C. Singh maintained with record of the complainant. It is true to
say that specimen signature of Manju C. Singh is maintained and recorded
in computer of the bank. It is not true to say that I am deposing false.
