Cross examination of CW-01- Mr. Anitha Uikkattan by advocate Mr. Prakash
Gange holding for Prakash Raut for the accused :
17. I know Arun as we met through social media and became friends in the
year 2017. We are Facebook friends. Accused was running Travels business. I
had sought quotations from him for the purpose of travelling. I gave him
friendly loan on various dates. I do not remember the dates of giving money
as a friendly loan to the accused. I do not remember the amount of lending
money to him. I have transferred money in his account as well as given
amount in cash. I gave amount of Rs.3 lakhs in cash. I transferred money
online around Rs.7 to 8 lakhs. I had not given him the cash amount in
presence of any person. I have not produced the bank statement to show
transfer of money online to the accused but I will produce it.
18. Accused has verbally made commitment to repay said loan
every time. He obtained money from me every time on the pretext of illness
of his mother and sister etc. It is not true to say that accused has returned
the amount of friendly loan given in cash to me. I am serving as an
Accountant in Private Institute at Worli.
On oral request of the advocate for the accused cross
examination is deferred till next date subject to cost of Rs.500/-.
