ORDER BELOW APPLICATION FOR DIRECTION TO EXTEND THE VALIDITY
PERIOD OF PASSPORT
1] The present application is filed by applicant/accused Jarifkhan
Gulabkhan Pathan in C.C. No.1785/PW/2014 (C.R. No.8/2014) registered by
Shahu Nagar police station. It is stated that the applicant has already been
granted permission for renewal of passport for one year i.e. from 03/07/2017
to 02/07/2018 as per order of this court. The applicant intends to travel to
Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The passport should have atleast 6 months of validity,
when travelling internationally and if the passport has less than 6 months
remaining until the expiration date, then it should be renewed. Therefore,
applicant prays directing the passport authorities to renew the passport for a
further period of one year i.e. from 03/07/2018 to 02/07/2019.
2] On the application say of Ld. APP was called. Ld. APP filed say and
submitted that the application have not attached the certified copies of F.I.R.,
chargesheet, roznama and neither mentioned stage of the case. Accused is
arrested u/s.420, 468, 471, 34 of the IPC and offences are serious and non
bailable. Application not mentioned reason, detail address and contact. If
permission granted there is likelihood accused may abscond. Hence, strongly
opposed the application.
3] Heard advocate for accused and Ld. APP for State.
4] Perused the application, say filed by Ld. APP and also perused the
documents annexed with the application. By this application, the accused has
prayed for directing the passport authorities to renew the passport for a further
period of one year i.e. from 03/07/2018 to 02/07/2019. Along with
application, the applicant annexed the photocopy of passport. The accused

shall give undertaking that he will not misuse the liberty granted to him.
Hence, the following order.
ORDER
a] The application is allowed.
b] The applicant/accused Jarifkhan Gulabkhan Pathan is hereby
granted permission to extend the validity period of passport for further one
year i.e. from 03/07/2018 to 02/07/2019. The passport authority be
considered the prayer for extending the validity period of passport in
accordance of law.
