OPERATIVE ORDER
A. All the above 177 applications mentioned in three tables in Para.
Nos.5, are allowed.
B. Police Station Officer and Police Inspector (Administration), of
Police Stations Bandra, Dharavi and Shahu Nagar, Mumbai, are directed to
handover all the vehicles and articles mentioned in Column No.4 of these
tables to the persons mentioned in Column No.5.
C. In cases of theft while handing over property the Police Station
Officer or Police Inspector (Administration), of concerned police station,
shall -
i. Prepare panchnama and obtain photographs of the articles/vehicles to
be handed over, in required numbers. It is clarified that if such panchnama
and photographs are already on record there is no need of such
documents to be prepared afresh for preservation of evidence.
ii. Also verify the ownership documents of the vehicles while handing over
the custody.
D. The Police Station Officer or Police Inspector (Administration), shall
act on certified copy of this order. Such copy shall be sent free of cost to
the concerned police stations.
E. If any vehicle is found to be unregistered Police Station Officer or
Police Inspector (Administration), are directed to hand it over only after its
registration with concerned transport authorities.
F. Copy of the main order shall be kept in Notice Case No. 390/N/2016
and copy of the operative part be kept in all the remaining matters.
G. Parties can obtain copy of main order from C.I.S.
