The Hon'ble Bombay High Court directed that, from
27/02/2024 to till 03/03/2024 Special Drive for disposal of unattended,
petty, steal and ineffective cases be taken up. Therefore, today the case is
taken up for disposal in special drive. Accused alleged to have committed
an offence punishable under section 22 (2)(k)/177/A of M. V. Act, for
which the punishment of of fine not less than I500/-, but which may
extend to I1,000/- has been provided for first offence. The alleged offence
is committed on 17/12/2021 and the chargesheet is filed alongwith delay
condonation application on 23/01/2024. Therefore, it appears that, as per
clause (a) of section 468 of Code of Criminal Procedure there is a bar for
taking cognizance of the present offence. Therefore, the proceeding is
stopped under section 258 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and accused
is hereby discharged and proceeding is closed.
