ORDER BELOW APPLICATION FOR RECEIPTION ORDER
UNDER MENTAL HEALTH ACT, 1987.
The applicant, Smt. Pallavi Kulkarni, A.P.I., Bandra Police Station,
filed this application stating that an unknown woman named as
Saraswata, was found within the jurisdiction of said police station. On her
admission to hospital, it is informed that she is suffering from
schizophrenia. Doctor also advised advanced treatment and as such said
woman is in need of urgent treatment by admitting her to
hospital/rehabilitation centre. In support of her contention she also filed
on record some medical papers. Considering the report of Medical
Officer, it is clear that said unknown woman is in need of urgent treatment
by admitting into concerned hospital. Therefore, following order -
ORDER
a. Application is allowed.
b. Issue reception order authorizing the Medical Superintendent,
Regional Mental Hospital, Thane, to provide medical treatment free of
cost to said Smt. Saraswata, in accordance with the provisions of Mental
Health Act, 1987, for a required period.
c. Application is disposed off.
