Narcotic drug other than specified in section 27 of N. D. P. S. Act and
thereby committed an offence U/Sec.8 (c) punishable U/Sec.27 of the
N. D.P. S. Act.

JUDGMENT
The accused is produced before the 'court along with Charge-
sheet. The particulars of offence U/Sec.8 (c) punishable U/Sec.27 of
The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereinafter
referred to as 'NDPS Act') is read over and explained to him. He has
voluntarily pleaded guilty, in spite of informing him consequences of
pleading guilty. In view of this submission, his plea is accepted and
accused is held guilty for the offence U/Sec.8 (c) punishable U/Sec.27
of NDPS Act.
The accused is heard on the point of sentence. He has submitted
that, this is his first offence, he is very poor, homeless person and
leniency may be shown to him while awarding the sentence.
Considering the submissions of accused, the sentence in the form of fine
will be justified. Hence, I proceed to pass following order.
ORDER
The accused Bhaskar Pradip Choudhari is convicted for the
offence U/Sec. 8(c) punishable U/Sec.27 of The Narcotic Drugs and
Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and he is sentenced to pay fine of
Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) i.d. to suffer simple
imprisonment for Seven (7) days.
The copy of judgment be given to the accused free of cost.
