This Chamber Summons is filed by plaintiff and requested to allow substituted service of summons by way of publication into local newspaper for the appearance of defendant. In support of Chamber Summons he has filed affidavit. The summons returned unserved because address is incorrect. Advocate of plaintiff submitted that it was the last known address of defendant to him. Therefore, he has no alternative except to issue summons in local newspaper. Therefore he prayed for substituted service of summons. 2. Record disclose that the defendant is resident from Mumbai. Therefore, it is desirable to allow substituted service of summons under Order V(Rule 17) and under Order V (Rule 20). It is also necessary for -- 1 of 3 -- Ch/s No.2229/19 Order 2 plaintiff to paste summons in conspicuous place that is in the Court house, in the office of collector etc. Accordingly, following order is passed: ORDER 1.
