1) The chamber summons is filed to serve writ of
summons to the defendant through paper publication. The
chamber summons is supported by affidavit of Shri. Anthony
Paulose, the authorised signatory of the plaintiff company. He
stated on oath that writ of summons issued to the defendant has
returned back with remark 'left'. The defendant could not be
served. They are not aware of the alternative address of the
defendant.
2) I have gone through the affidavit of service. The
remark in the envelope Exh.A and Exh.B which shows as “left”.
The address is of South Delhi. Therefore, to serve the defendant

the plaintiff has the only address shown in the title of the plaint.
The writ of summons can only be served by substitute service.
Hence,pass following order:
ORDER
1. The chamber summons is allowed.

3. Accordingly, chamber summons is disposed of.
