Perused the Chamber Summons which is being supported by affidavit sworned by Mr. Manprit Singh who is the manager of Union Bank of India. It is submitted that by virtue of gazette notification (Exh.A) dtd. 04.03.2020 the Corporation bank is amalgamated with the Union Bank of India and by the surviving entity it will be called as ‘Union Bank of India’. In my considered opinion, when the previous Corporation Bank has altered its identity and a process of amalgamation is done wherein all rights,title and interest were transferred in name of Union Bank of India, the proposed amendment is necessary to be done in the interest of justice.
Hence, I pass the following order:-
