It is submitted by ld. advocate for defendant No. 3 that there is bunch of 21 similar Suits and it would be Convenient to first record evidence in one suit and accordingly evidence is being recorded in SU No. 7136/1997. Today, Officer i.e. witness in that case is held-up in Manipur Riot duty and hence, today he can not attend the Court and prayed for adjourning the matter for two months. However, it is pertinent to note that matter is very very old and as per direction of Hon’ble High Court matter is required to be completed as early as possible. Moreover, plaintiff’s in all the suits are different and separate evidence needs to be recorded in all the suits. Therefore, it is not necessary to stop recording evidence in other suits till evidence in SU No. 7136/1997 is recorded fully. Hence, plaintiff is directed to remain present for cross-examination and defendants are directed to proceed with the cross-examination of plaintiff on the next date without fail.
