Both the banks are amalgamated. The plaintiff seeks to substitute the name of Union Bank of India as plaintiff in place of Corporation Bank, in view of, the changed identity, the change in name of the bank is subsequent development which had occurred during the pendancy of the suit. It needs to be mentioned that the defendant is not served the suit summons yet. The amendment would not prejudice the defendant.
