behalf of accused Aakash seeking medical examination and
judicial enquiry in respect of custodial violence.

Accused Aakash produced from JC with walker.
Report regarding application of accused sent by
Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail No. 1, Tihar Jail has been
received. Perused.
Accused Aakash has appeared before this Court and
he seems to be limping while moving. His right foot is swollen
and there is swelling below his left eye. He has submitted that he
has not been given any medical treatment and was beaten by Jail
Officials after tying his hands and legs on a jhula on chakkar due
to he asking for blanket which was taken by Jail Authorities in
the morning of 23.02.2026.
Let accused be got medically examined from Saket
District Court Dispensary and be produced before Court at 12:15
p.m.

Accused has been produced before this Court after
his medical check-up.
Jail Superintendent is directed to get X-ray of right
foot of accused and also of spine of accused immediately and file
report in this regard on NDOH.
Counsels for accused have submitted that in case of
any alleged self inflicted injury by accused, let CCTV Footage of
the said incident be called from Jail Superintendent Concerned
for short date. They have requested for calling Jail
Superintendent Concerned on NDOH. Heard.
Issue notice to Jail Superintendent, Central Jail No.
1, Tihar Jail with direction to appear in person with CCTV
Footage of alleged incident dated 23.02.2026 for date already
fixed i.e. on 10.03.2026.
At this stage, Ahlmad of the Court has produced one
letter of Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail No. 1, Tihar Jail
wherein it is mentioned that production of accused is required as
a witness in present case in production warrants issued by this
Court and it may be clarified as to whether he is required to be
detained in present case.
Accused is required to appear in present case as an
accused and wrong noting in this regard has been done by
Ahlmad / Assistant Ahlmad of this Court below production

warrants issued by this Court. They are warned to remain careful
in future. Noting to produce accused as witness in present case
on production warrants issued for today’s date is cut under my
signatures.
Let copy of order be attached with custody warrants
of accused for compliance.
