On 17.02.2025, notice was framed against the accused where he pleaded
guilty. Vide a separate judgement dated 17.02.2025 the accused was held guilty and
convicted of offence U/s 138 NI Act. Thereafter, the matter was referred to mediation,
wherein they have settled this matter along with another connected matter for Rs.21 lacs.
Now, Ld. counsel for convict is pressing for an acquittal and for removal of the
disqualification of conviction. Since the accused has already been convicted, both the
counsels have been apprised about the provisions of the Probation of the Offenders Act.
Ld. counsel for convict submits that he seeks some time to seek instructions from the
main counsel and argue on the point of sentence.
Put up on the argument on sentence on 06.12.2025 at 118, Rohini Court,
Delhi.
