Order
1. The present application under Order VII Rule 14 read with
Section 151 CPC has been filed by the plaintiff seeking
permission to place on record an alleged original cheque bearing
No. 138408 for an amount of 2,40,000/-, on the ground of	₹
inadvertent omission.
2. The application has been opposed by the defendant.
3. The suit has been filed for recovery of 3,00,000/- on the	₹
basis of Cheque No. 086737 dated 24.06.2022 allegedly issued
by the defendant. The application does not disclose the relevance
of the cheque now sought to be produced, nor does it explain

why the same was not filed earlier. Further, no original cheque
has been filed along with the application.
4. Perusal of the photocopy reveals that the cheque is stated
to have been issued by one Dinesh Kumar, who is not a party to
the present suit, and no foundation has been laid to connect the
said cheque with the cause of action.
5. In the absence of any explanation regarding non-
production and relevancy, no sufficient ground is made out to
allow the application.
6. Accordingly, the application under Order VII Rule 14 read
with Section 151 CPC is dismissed.
7. Put up for further proceedings on 25.03.2026.
