An application under Order V Rule 20 CPC r/w Section 151 CPC filed on behalf of the plaintiff for substituted service of the defendant. Heard. Perused. Considering the fact that previous attempts to serve the defendant by ordinary mode have remained futile and matter is pending for service of defendant since 17.02.2026. Therefore, this court is satisfied that the summons cannot be served upon the said defendant in the ordinary way. Thus, the defendant be served by way of affixation at conspicuous place in the Court house and at his/her last known address. Further, let the defendant be also served by way of publication in a daily newspaper like “Statesman” and “Veer Arjun” having circulation in the local area where he/she is known to have last resided / worked for gain on the filing of affidavit by the plaintiff that the aforesaid newspaper in circulation at the last known address of the defendant. Let steps be taken by the plaintiff within 4 weeks from today and requisite publication charges along with PF be deposited, as per rules. Dasti publication is also permitted.
