This is the application for grant of interim bail
moved on behalf of applicant/accused Prashant Shukla.
Present: Sh. Ravindra Kumar, Ld. Addl. PP for the State.
Sh. Siddharth Joshi, Ld. Counsel for applicant/
accused Prashant Shukla, through VC and Ms.
Sanjana, proxy counsel.
Ld. Counsel for the applicant submits that he has
only one submission that marriage of cousin sister of the
applicant is going to take place on 29.11.2025 and the applicant
be enlarged on interim bail to participate in the marriage
ceremony.
To this, Ld. Addl. PP for the State has vehemently
opposed the interim bail application on the ground that present
applicant was the mastermind of the offence. He has passed the
information to his co-associates who robbed the complainant
R.K. Singh. In the aforesaid, complainant had sustained bullet
shot injury near his chest and he is on wheel chair. It is further
submitted that regular bail of the present applicant had already

been dismissed by Ld. Predecessor. It is further submitted that
Lakshmi is not the real sister of the applicant. There is no ground
for grant of interim bail to the applicant for the purpose of
attending the marriage of his cousin sister. It is prayed that the
applicant be dismissed.
Submissions heard. Record perused.
In nutshell, the case of prosecution is like that: On
02.05.2025, an information was received at PS Tilak Marg and
on that information, when the police officials reached Safdarjung
Hospital they found injured Sh. R.K. Singh. He stated that on the
said date, when he was going towards his house in car, he has
some cash with him and near Pragati Maidan, Gate No. 1, 4-5
persons came on motorcycle and stopped his car and the window
of his car was hit by them and when he tried to escape, then one
of them took out a pistol and fired on him and the gun shot hit
him and he got injured. During the course of investigation,
present applicant was apprehended and he disclosed that he and
his friends Sahil Malik planned the entire incident and after
hatching the conspiracy to robe his employer i.e.
complainant/injured Sh. R.K. Singh and after associating with
other co-accused he committed the offence.

Looking to the role of the present applicant being the
mastermind of the whole conspiracy and the gravity of the
offence as well as the factum that he is praying for interim bail
on the ground of marriage of cousin sister and not his real sister,
accordingly, the interim bail application moved on behalf of
applicant Prashant Shukla is hereby dismissed. Present
application is disposed off accordingly.
Nothing stated herein above shall tantamount as an
expression of opinion on the merits of the case. The copy of the
order be given dasti to the Ld. Counsel for accused / applicant.
