Anguri Vs. State
FIR No.0109 /2024 (PreetVihar)
21.05.2024
File taken up upon application U/s.437 Cr.PC for grant of bail filed on
behalf of applicant/ accused Anguri.
Present: Sh. Kalim Ahmed, Ld. APP for the State.
Ms. Sajida Saifi, Ld. Counsel for applicant.
IO SI Sher Singh in person.
Reply to the bail application filed. Copy be supplied.
Submissions heard. Record perused.
It is submitted by Ld. Counsel for accused that accused is in
judicial custody since 09.05.2024, that the accused has been falsely
implicated in this case, that nothing has been recovered from the accused,
that the accused has no previous involvement in any case, that the accused
has responsibility of her one minor child and that the accused is ready to
abide by terms and conditions imposed by the court and since no useful
purpose would be served by keeping the accused in custody, she be granted
bail.
Per contra, it is argued by Ld. APP with the assistance of IO
that the offence involved serious in nature, if the accused released on bail,
she may jump the bail and there are chances of the accused fleeing from
justice and hence the present bail application be dismissed.
Arguments heard. Record perused.
Perusal of record reveals that in the present case registered on
the complaint of Smt. Harsha Sharma, a theft of Rs. 75 Lakhs is said to be

committed from her house and from the CCTV footage on record, co-
accused Rajesh was seeing to be carrying the stolen money from the
building. Allegedly, co-accused Rajesh was working as security guard in the
building of the complainant whilst accused Anguri was working as a maid
in the house of the complainant and theft of Rs. 75 Lakhs is stated to have
been committed by both the accused persons in connivance with each other,
both being husband and wife. Recovery to the extent of above Rs. 58 Lakhs
has also been made from the above accused persons.
Accordingly, in light of the afore-stated facts and
circumstances and considering the seriousness of the offence and the
manner in which the offence was committed alongwith the fact that the
investigation is underway and chances of committing of similar offence can
not be ruled out and hence this Court is of the view that no ground is made
out at this stage for grant of bail to the present applicant/ accused.
Accordingly, the present bail application is hereby dismissed.
The order be also uploaded on the website of Delhi District
Court. Copy of the order be also sent to the Jail Superintendent through
email and Dispatch Rider. Copy of the order be given dasti to Ld. counsel of
the applicant.
