Since accused had entered appearance and considering the nature of allegations leveled against him, he is admitted to bail today on furnishing of bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety in the like amount. Personal bonds furnished and accepted on behalf of accused till the NDOH. Notice of accusation is framed on the accused separately. Accused has not pleaded guilty and claimed trial. At this stage, admission/denial of documents under Section 294 Cr. P.C. done. Accused states that he will not dispute the genuineness and correctness of dishonor Cheque & memo Hence, 02 witnesses cited in list of witnesses by complainant at serial no. 2, and 3 stand dropped from said list. Ld. counsel for the accused orally prays that the accused may be permitted to cross-examine the complainant u/s 145(2) NI Act. Submissions heard on behalf of both the parties. Keeping in view the submissions made by the Ld. counsel for both the parties and the defence raised by the accused, the accused is di- rected to cross-examine the complainant on the NDOH without fail u/s 145(2) NI Act. At this stage ld. counsels for both the parties submits that they wish to explore the possibility of settlement. At joint request, matter is referred for mediation before Mediation Centre, East District, KKD Courts. Both the parties are directed to appear before the Mediation Centre on 16.09.2026 at 2 pm.
