IO Inspector Bharat is present.
1. The charge-sheet filed by IO alleging commission of offences punishable under
Sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 by accused persons Ved
Prakash and Mohan Lal is perused.
2. In the charge-sheet, It has been stated by IO Inspector Bharat that proceedings
against accused Late Mohan Lal stand abated because he died on 15.12.2019.
3. Ld. Public Prosecutor submits that accused Ved Prakash is liable to be prosecuted
qua the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of
PC Act, 1988.

4. Also, alongwith the aforesaid charge-sheet, Ld. Public Prosecutor has inter-alia
filed sanction order dated 15.02.2024 issued by Dr. A. M. Rathore, Medical Director,
G.T.B. Hospital, Government of NCT of Delhi under Section 19 of PC Act, 1988, in
respect of accused Ved Prakash.
5. In my view, the aforesaid material including the documents filed with the charge-
sheet, statements of witnesses and FSL Result constitute sufficient material for this
Court to take cognizance of the above-noted offences and to proceed against
accused Ved Prakash. Accordingly, in exercise of the power available under Section
190(b) of CrPC, 1973, cognizance of above-noted offences is taken and it is directed
that summons shall be issued against accused Ved Prakash returnable on
22.01.2025.
