1. IO ACP Jarnail Singh is not present. He has sent a request seeking exemption
from appearance for today. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is
allowed and the IO is exempted from his appearance for today.
2. The matter is at the stage of arguments on behalf of IO on the closure report
alongwith its supplementary report. It is pertinent to mention here that vide order
dated 31.01.2023, this Court had directed further investigation on several aspects
including verification of income of wife of the proposed accused, the tuition fee of two
children of proposed accused and the persons from whom the proposed accused had
taken loan.
3. Pursuant to the said order, the IO has filed supplementary report on
16.08.2024. The IO has not filed supporting documents regarding further
investigation conducted by him such as statements of additional witnesses,
supplementary statements of family members of the proposed accused, documents
obtained from Reeta Public School regarding the salary register/salary slip of Reeta

Verma (daughter of proposed accused). Further, it is not clear whether the IO has
conducted any further investigation on the aspect of loan taken by the proposed
accused/his wife from twenty persons. The IO has also not filed any report or
certificate obtained from Chartered Accountant for computation of assets. In view of
the same, clarifications are required from the IO regarding the documents and the
further investigation conducted by him.
4. Issue notice to the Investigating Officer to appear on the next date and to file
all the documents relating to the supplementary report and to explain why he failed to
file them earlier. Copy of this order be sent alongwith notice.
