It is submitted that opinion from Law Department,
GNCTD is still awaited despite issuance of reminder to Standing
Counsel (Criminal), Hon’ble Delhi High Court.
Ld. Chief PP for State seeks some more time to file
final reply in this matter, while informing that Ld. APP has already
furnished his opinion and same is now pending consideration
before Ld. Standing Counsel (Criminal). He has assured that all
sincere efforts shall be made to get the final opinion from Law
Department, GNCTD by next date of hearing. He has, therefore,
sought 6-8 weeks for the said purpose.
Considering the aforesaid submissions made and in
the interest of justice, request is allowed. However, it is hereby
made clear that last and final opportunity is being granted for filing
the final reply in this matter, considering the fact that the Criminal
Appeal No. 1002/2010 and Crl. MA 40928/2019 had been decided
by Hon’ble Delhi High Court on 20-03-2025 and since then, the
matter is stated to be pending consideration before Law
Department, GNCTD for taking decision regarding filing of SLP

before Hon’ble Supreme Court of India against the said judgment
of Hon’ble Delhi High Court.
Put up on 03-02-2026 for further order.
