The IO is exempted from appearance, for today only. PW1 Sh.
Vinod Negi is present for crossexamination on behalf of the accused. However,
the Ld. Advocate for the accused has filed an application, seeking exemption
from appearance of the accused and an adjournment, on the premise that the
accused is severely ill and wants the crossexamination of PW1 Sh. Vinod Negi
to be done in his presence. The exemption of the accused from appearance is
allowed for today only. Also, as a one time measure, the request for adjournment
is allowed with a clear rider that on the next date, the witness, PW1 Sh. Vinod
Negi will not be sent back without crossexamination. With the consent of the
witness and the Ld. Advocate for the accused, the matter is adjourned to
16.03.2024. Let PW1 Sh. Vinod Negi be now summoned for crossexamination,
on 16.03.2024.
