Convict Manish Lal on bail.
Sh. Pranav Gupta, ld. counsel for the accused through
VC.
Vide a separate order on sentence announced today,
convict Manish Lal is sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment
for 3 (three) years with fine of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) for the
offence punishable under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption
Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), in default thereof, he shall undergo
Simple Imprisonment for 3 (Three) months.
Benefit of section 468 BNSS (section 428 Cr.P.C.) be
given to the convict.
At this stage, an application u/s 430(3) BNSS 2023 is
moved on behalf of the convict seeking suspension of sentence.
Considering the submissions made, sentence awarded
to the convict is suspended till 10.10.2025. Accordingly, convict is
directed to apprise the court about filing of appeal, if any, in this case.
Application stands disposed off accordingly.
Fine not deposited by convict.
A copy of order on sentence be given to the convict
free of cost. Vide separate cover sheet, convict is apprised that he may
avail free legal aid facilities for pursuing the remedies available under
law.
File be consigned to Record Room after due
compliance.
