Sh. Neeraj Goyal, Ld. Counsel (Amicus Curiae) for accused Harmenn
Sabherwal.
Ld. Counsel for accused Harmenn Sabherwal has filed an application for
transfer of accused to another jail and for permission to carry spectacles in jail.
Ld. Counsel for accused seeks permission of Court for the accused to carry
spectacles inside jail. This Court has no objection to the request. However, the
request will have to be considered by the Jail Superintendent as per Delhi Prison
Rules, 2018. The accused may put forth his request before Jail Superintendent who
shall consider the same as per the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, uninfluenced by the
order of this Court.
Regarding the prayer of transfer of accused from Rohini Jail no. 10 to Tihar Jail
No. 3 or Jail No. 7, let report in this behalf be called from Jail Superintendent, who
shall also submit report regarding the medical condition of the applicant/accused.
List on 05.06.2025.
Copy of this order shall be given dasti to Ld. Counsel for accused. Also, copy
of this order shall be sent to the Jail Superintendent, Tihar Jail for information and
compliance.
