Counsel for the accused submits that the accused may be granted bail. Heard. Since the offence punishable u/s 138 N.I. Act is bailable in nature. Accused is admitted to bail subject to the condition that he furnishes bail bonds to the tune of Rs.20,000/- with one surety in the like amount on NDOH. Ld. Counsel for the accused submits that he has received the complete set of documents/complaint. At this stage, it is jointly submitted that there are chances of settlement between the parties and a request is made for referring the matter to mediation. Accordingly, both the parties are referred to mediation center for exploring the possibility of settlement on 17.10.2026 at 02:00 pm and to report before this court on 04.03.2027. Both the parties are directed to remain present in the mediation proceedings. Accused is directed to appear physically on the next date of hearing, failing which coercive action may be taken to secure the presence of the accused.
