FIR No. : 455/2024
State v. Amit Kumar
PS : Special Cell
u/s 20/21/22/25/27A/29 NDPS Act
r/w Section 238/209 BNS
29.07.2025
Present: Sh. Alok Saxena, Ld. CPP for the State.
Sh. Mithlesh Jha, Sh. R.B. Chaudhary and
Sh. Nagendra Singh, Ld. Counsels for
applicant/accused Amit Kumar.
IO SI Shailesh Kumar in person.
This order of mine shall dispose off the application for
grant of regular bail to the applicant / accused Amit Kumar.
Arguments on the bail application heard and the
application and IO report and the case file perused.
Keeping in view the contention of applicant/accused
Amit Kumar that applicant/accused is a medical representative and
salesman and he has no knowledge of the contraband and therefore,
applicant/accused Amit Kumar may kindly be granted bail. But, this
contention has been rightly rebutted by Ld. CPP for the State on the
ground that applicant/accused Amit Kumar is a middleman as he had
the first transaction with Rana Tarandeep, the kingpin of International
Drug Trafficking and at the instance of Rana Tarandeep as well as at
the instance of the present applicant/accused Amit Kumar, the contract
was executed by Abhilasha Gupta, the HRA Incharge of the said firm.
Also, in the chats, applicant/accused refers himself as partner of firm
and it further aggravates his role in said case.
Keeping in view the fact that the allegations against the
applicant/accused Amit Kumar are under Section 20/21/22/25/27A/29
NDPS Act r/w Section 238/209 BNS and the allegations are grave and

serious in nature.
Keeping in view the fact that there is recovery of
518 kgs of Mephedrone from the firm for which applicant/accused
Amit Kumar was alleged as middleman. Also, in view of the fact that
the present case is a case of heavy recovery of more than 1200 kgs of
contraband and it is a case of International Drug Trafficking.
Also, keeping in view the fact that case is at the stage of
arguments on charge and there is every possibility that applicant /
accused Amit Kumar would influence/threaten the witnesses or
tamper with evidence, if at liberty. So, I do not find any merit in the
present application of the applicant / accused Amit Kumar. Hence, the
present application of the applicant / accused Amit Kumar for grant of
regular bail is hereby dismissed.
Application is disposed off accordingly.
This order of mine shall not effect the merits of the case.
Copy of the order be given dasti to Ld. Counsel for
applicant / accused.
Copy of the order be sent to concerned Jail.
