State Vs. Ritik Bajaj, FIR No. 455/24
PS Crime Branch
08.04.2026
Present: Sh. Akhand Pratap Singh, Ld. Special PP for
state(through VC).
Sh. Sachin Shukla, Ms. Anuradha Mehra and Ms.
Lavanya Popli, Ld. counsels for applicant/ accused.
Applicant/ accused Ritik Bajaj on interim bail.
IO SI Dinesh Kumar on behalf of Insp. Nishant
Dahiya in person.
Fresh reply to the present application to extend the
interim bail of the applicant/ accused is filed. Copy supplied.
Arguments heard.
Ld. counsels for the applicant/ accused submit that
the applicant/ accused was admitted to interim bail for a period of
21 days as his wife had to undergo spine surgery on 17.03.2026.
However, due to low blood pressure, surgery could not be
performed.
They further argue that during the period of interim
bail, wife of the applicant/ accused shown herself to the doctor at
Apollo Hospital as well as Dr. A.K. Dawar. They further argue
that now the surgery of wife of accused is fixed for 15.04.2026.
According to them, since, the surgery of wife of applicant/
accused is of vital and sensitive place, therefore, she needs
assistance as well as presence of her husband. They further
argue that the presence of applicant/ accused will also be
required after surgery for taking care of his wife.
They further argue that though, the applicant/
accused was declared P.O. but during the period of interim bail,
he has obeyed all the terms and conditions and he was

continuously in touch with the IO. Therefore, they request that
the interim bail of the applicant/ accused may further be extended
for a further period of at least 20/21 days.
Per contra, Ld. Special PP for the state as well as IO
have vehemently opposed the present interim bail application
stating that the applicant/ accused was released on 16.03.2026
and date of surgery was 17.03.2026, which was admittedly
postponed but he neither informed the Court nor surrendered
before the concerned Jail Superintendent.
They further submit that a Govt. Medical Board may
be constituted to diagnose and verify the ailments as well as
medical condition of the wife of applicant/ accused. They further
submit that the applicant/ accused has not annexed any medical
document to show that the blood pressure of the wife of the
applicant/ accused was low between the period 21.03.2026 to
02.04.2026. They further submit that applicant/ accused has not
placed on record any previous history of medical treatment of his
wife prior to February, 2026.
They further submit that the grounds stated by the
applicant/ accused are not exceptional, warranting to extend the
interim bail period of the applicant/ accused and at present
ground, interim bail of applicant/ accused cannot be extended.
They further submit that in alternate, there are various
arrangements to take care of wife of the applicant/ accused as
Nursing Staff can also be hired. They further submit that there
are other family members in the family of the applicant/ accused,
who can take care of his wife during this period. They further

submit that applicant/ accused was absconding and he was
arrested from U.A.E. after issuance of Red-Corner Notice. They
further submit that the investigation is still going on and
therefore, interim bail application of the applicant/ accused
should be dismissed.
Submissions considered. Record perused.
As per record, applicant/ accused was admitted to
interim bail for a period of 21 days from 16.03.2026 to
05.04.2026. Thereafter, present application was moved and
notice was sent to IO concerned to verify medical documents and
interim bail of the applicant/ accused was extended till today i.e.
08.04.2026.
Earlier, surgery of wife of applicant/ accused was
fixed for 17.03.2026 and admittedly, applicant/ accused was
released from JC on interim bail on 16.03.2026. It is the case of
the applicant/ accused that since the Blood Pressure (BP) of the
wife of the applicant/ accused was low on 17.03.2026, therefore,
surgery could not be performed.
On perusal of medical documents, it is observed that
the wife of the applicant/ accused was never taken to Doctor on
17.03.2026. She was taken to Doctor concerned only on
21.03.2026. The applicant/ accused never informed the Court
about non-performance of surgery upon his wife till the filing of
the present interim bail application. As per record also, no proof
has been filed with the application that Blood Pressure (BP) of
the wife of the applicant/ accused was low on 17.03.2026.
Further, as per contentions, the Blood Pressure (BP)

of the wife of the applicant/ accused was found to be low on
several occasions and now, her surgery is fixed for 15.04.2026.
Considering the history of the wife of the applicant/ accused, it
cannot be said that her Blood Pressure (BP) will be within
limitation on 15.04.2026.
Considering the fact that the applicant/ accused did
not inform the Court about the fact that the surgery could not be
performed upon his wife on 17.03.2026 and the fact that
investigation qua him is still pending and allegations against him
are serious in nature. Therefore, I do not find any merits in the
present application. According, the present interim bail
application of the applicant/ accused Ritik Bajaj stands
dismissed.
The applicant/ accused Ritik Bajaj may move fresh
application as and when vitals of his wife are under control.
Applicant/ accused Ritik Bajaj is directed to surrender in the jail
today itself.
A copy of this order be given dasti to the applicant/
accused/ his Ld. counsel at 3:30 PM sharp today i.e. on
08.04.2026.
Another copy be sent to the concerned Jail
Superintendent for information. Jail Superintendent concerned is
directed to file a report with respect to the date of surrender of
the applicant/ accused in the Jail.
