It is submitted by counsel for the plaintiff that the summons upon the defendants may be served through substituted service under Order V Rule 20 of CPC by publication of the summons in the newspaper. A perusal of the record shows that on 24.9.2024 an application for providing fresh address of the defendants was made on behalf of the plaintiff, but the summons against the defendants on the said address were not issued. In these circumstances, I do not see any reason to serve the summon upon the defendants by way of substituted service at this stage. On filing PF and postal expenses etc. within seven days by the plaintiff issue fresh summons against the defendant, to be served by registered post acknowledgment due and through the office of the District Judge concerned on the address 708-B, Plot No. 2, Jamia Contd... -- 1 of 2 -- -2- Apartment, Sector Pi-1, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh -201308, returnable on 26.4.2025.
